In a July 31 press release, Mason City Police Chief Jeff Brinkley announced his retirement, effective in November. A series of police chiefs have overseen the department responsible for investigating the disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit since she was abducted from the parking lot of her apartment complex in June 1995.
