It's not known for certain if a white van was involved in the abduction of Jodi Huisentruit from the parking lot of her apartment complex in the early morning hours of June 27, 1995, but the white van has nonetheless become perhaps the most widely-known detail in the case. Using public witness accounts of the van sighting, television footage from the morning Jodi was abducted, and feedback from the FindJodi team, reader Sam Gullickson used professional animation software to create this 3D approximation of what the scene may have looked like at approximately 4:15 AM on June 27, 1995.

The Mason City, Iowa, sergeant assigned to Jodi Huisentruit's case met last week with the Wood County, Wisconsin, sheriff and a lieutenant to discuss a deceased murder suspect, Christopher Revak. Revak has been linked to two cases with female victims in the Midwest and he was also previously dismissed in connection with the Huisentruit investigation.

A white van has been referenced in connection with Jodi's disappearance countless times since she was taken from the parking lot of her apartment complex on June 27, 1995. The van is mentioned in the timeline so often it's practically become a fact of the case. As one of Jodi's co-workers said 10 years after she vanished: "white vans still trigger something in my head." But the truth is, we don't know for sure what Jodi's abductor(s) drove that morning.
