Statement delivered by FindJodi’s Holly Keegel on June 27, 2026
Good morning.
I am Holly Keegel of FindJodi, and I am pleased to share with you this poster created by our teammate Brian Wise, as a replication of the Iowa Attorney General’s Office initiative featuring the Iowa Cold Case Card Deck containing 52 playing cards with unsolved homicides, missing persons under suspicious circumstances and unidentified remains cases. Thank you to the Iowa Attorney General’s Office for their approval and support.
This past week I reviewed every card. It broke my heart to learn about each person, their story and about their family still waiting for an answer or some resolution just as Jodi’s family has done for the past 31 years.
As a call to action – take some time to review each card, especially those cases that are in your area. Talk about it with your family and friends. Contact law enforcement if you know something. No information is too small or insignificant. It takes all of us to keep the momentum going. Something as simple as putting up a flyer or hosting a neighborhood event can generate a conversation. Do something to let those loved ones know we are still searching for answers and that they will never be forgotten.
In honor of Jodi’s kind heart, we would like to thank her family, her friends, and her work family for allowing us to share her day with each person highlighted on the playing cards, along with Grace Esquivel who went missing 43 years ago from Mason City, and all the Iowa missing persons and cold case victims.
Action not silence!
Anyone with information about Jodi’s case is encouraged to contact the Mason City Police Department at (641) 421-3636. Information may also be provided to Iowa DCI Special Agent Ryan Herman at rherman@dps.state.ia.us.
