Someone Knows: Remembering Jodi Huisentruit on Her 58th Birthday

Somewhere out there, someone knows what happened to Jodi Huisentruit.

Today, Jodi would have turned 58. She was a bright, warm young woman whose career as a television news anchor was just taking off when she vanished in the early morning darkness on her way to deliver the Daybreak newscast at KIMT-TV in Mason City, Iowa, on June 27, 1995.

Jodi had just celebrated her 27th birthday three weeks before. More than three decades later, her family still has no answers, no peace.

Thirty-one birthdays. Thirty Thanksgivings. Thirty Christmases. The milestones keep passing, and the silence continues.

If you have information, please speak up. It’s never too late to do the right thing.

Do it for Jodi. For her family. For the truth.

Please. Don’t let her family mark another birthday not knowing where Jodi is.

Anyone with information about Jodi’s case is encouraged to contact the Mason City Police Department at (641) 421-3636. Information may also be provided to Iowa DCI Special Agent Ryan Herman at rherman@dps.state.ia.us.
