Podcast 002: Police Statements and Jodi’s Journal

By Caroline Lowe · On June 19, 2020

With the 25th anniversary of Jodi Huisentruit’s abduction only a week away, our FindJodi.com team just released Episode 2 of our new podcast.

Listen to “The Investigation Begins” on Spreaker.

The first episode focused on the timeline of the investigation. We launched the podcast June 5th, the day Jodi would have turned 52.

In Episode 2, our FindJodi.com team focuses on the scope of the investigation and what police have revealed publicly about Jodi’s unsolved case.

We also drill down on some of the false and contradictory information that has been reported over the years.

One of the biggest misconceptions in the case is reports of blood evidence found at the crime scene at the Key Apartments parking lot in Mason City, Iowa, where Jodi was abducted on her way to anchor the morning news at KIMT-TV on June 27, 1995.

Our team also discusses one of the more bizarre twists in this 25-year-old case: the mailing of a copy of Jodi’s personal journal to the local newspaper.

You can listen to the official FindJodi podcast on most major podcast platforms, including: Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, iHeart Radio, Spotify, and more.
