As Jodi Huisentruit’s family and friends prepare to mark a milestone anniversary of her abduction, still waiting for answers, our FindJodi team asks people to leave a porch light on, or light a candle, in memory of the missing news anchor.
It will be 25 years on June 27th since Jodi disappeared on her way to anchor the morning news at KIMT-TV in Mason City, Iowa.
She hasn’t been seen since, and no one has been charged in her disappearance.
Post photos of your porch light or candle using #LightsForJodi
Our team hopes that by turning on lights in the days leading up to the 27th, it will remind people – especially in the Mason City area – that the Long Prairie, MN native is still missing.
We also hope it will prompt someone to come forward with information on what happened to Jodi.
The lights plan is one of several ways we will push to keep Jodi’s case from fading from the public spotlight during these difficult times.
We hope you’ll download a copy of our updated flyer, which you can post on your social media sites and put up in public places in your community.
And you can check out our new FindJodi podcast. We launched it June 5th, on what would have been Jodi’s 52nd birthday.
Thanks so much for all of your support for our mission to help find Jodi.
It’s time to bring Jodi home.
