Jodi Huisentruit should be celebrating her 51st birthday today with her friends and loved ones. Instead, they mark another year not knowing what happened to Jodi since she was abducted on June 27, 1995, from her apartment parking lot in Mason City, Iowa, on her way to anchor the news at KIMT-TV.

We are extremely saddened to learn of the recent and sudden passing of Dan Borland; a friend and colleague to all of us at FindJodi.com, Inc. He passed away in his hometown of Albert Lea, Minnesota on Sunday, February 24th at the young age of 62.

FindJodi.com, Inc. is putting up 4 billboards in and around Mason City to drive awareness of Jodi's case and track down more leads. John Shine was the General Manager of KIMT-TV when Jodi disappeared. In numerous conversations with John over the years, we've discussed and shared our theories, the events of that day, how to move forward and an overall sense of frustration that this case hasn't been resolved. He recently sent us a poem to share with readers.

The night before she disappeared, Jodi Huisentruit called her good friend Kelly Torguson in Mississippi. Kelly wasn't home so Jodi chatted with Kelly's husband who answered their phone. After Jodi's abduction, Mason City police flew Kelly to Iowa as part of their investigation and effort to interview everyone who knew Jodi. Kelly's mom, Beverly Salonen of Glenwood, Minnesota, fondly remembers Jodi and recently shared several photos and her memories of Jodi.
