We have some bittersweet news to share with the FindJodi.com audience. Gary Peterson has decided to retire and thereby resign from his post at FindJodi.com. Gary is a strong reason why we are here today and why this website exists. His countless hours to the organization has helped build FindJodi.com from a few guys talking about the case in 2002 to the number one source of information regarding Jodi’s case today.

Find Jodi Vandalized

A billboard our FindJodi.com team dedicated in Mason City, Iowa in honor of Jodi Huisentruit has been vandalized. The board was spray painted with the name of a former Mason City police investigator, sometime in the past couple of days. It also includes the words 'machine shed' in the writings.

Huisentruit Craigslist

It's come to our attention that some has posted to Craigslist with an offer of a million dollars for information leading to Jodi Huisentruit. While we would love to make this offer, it's simply not doable - or true for that matter. Our tip line phone number was used to encourage tipsters to come forward.Keep in mind, if we ever make a reward available, we will do so on OUR website and it will be obvious that we are the organization putting up the reward (or will specifically explain in detail who the donor will be).

Hello, all. This is just a quick post to let you know of a change we're making to the commenting system on the website. For years we've used Disqus - which is a 3rd party system to manage comments in a nice, sleek format. For years, it worked well. And it was free. However, they have decided in the last year to clog the free version with annoying ads and they made it pay-to-play. Now, they plan to tweak their ads even more and we've simply had enough. We're not going to pay to have standard commenting features as this website does that already.

John Vansice

Exclusive7 years ago

John Vansice hasn't spoken publicly since the disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit nearly 24 years ago. For years, journalists, bloggers, investigators and case-followers have tried to speak with him and ask him questions about where Jodi could be. Some have ambushed him. Members of FindJodi.com, Inc. have spoken with him in the past outside of our roles with this website. But no one has been able to sit with the man and have him open up about Jodi's case and his experiences surrounding the last 24 years. That is, until now.

The CBS 48 Hours special 'FindJodi' generated a lot of interest in Jodi's case. As a result, FindJodi.com saw the most visits in a single day in the history of the website (which more than doubled the previous record held several months ago). If you are new to this website, welcome. We're glad you're here. Here is a little background of the website and what it looked like along the way.
