FindJodi Team Statement 31 Years Following Her Disappearance

On behalf of our FindJodi team, we welcome you to our annual gathering to honor Jodi Huisentruit.

31 years ago today, Jodi left for work here at KIMT-TV and never arrived.

31 years later, Jodi is still missing.

She was just 27 years old. Her whole life was ahead of her.

Today, Jodi’s face should be on billboards in a big city where she had landed her dream anchor job. Instead, it’s on billboards here in Mason City, reminding people she is still missing.

In the years since Jodi was abducted, there have been countless searches, promising leads, numerous true-crime programs, and decades of work by dedicated investigators.

And still, one thing remains unchanged: someone knows what happened to Jodi. And they must stop sitting on that secret.

We are not here today to talk to the general public. After 31 years, our message is to an audience of one. One person, or someone that person has confided in, who has carried this information since June 27, 1995.

31 is a long time to keep a secret. Circumstances change. People change. The people who once seemed worth protecting may no longer be around.

Jodi’s family has waited 31 years to learn where she is, and for a chance to say goodbye.
