The FindJodi Team is trying to learn more about a Mason City establishment known as the Southbridge Lounge. Have you ever been? By what we can gather in our internet searches, the lounge was in operation up until about mid-December, 1995.
Initially, we thought since it was the Southbridge Lounge, it would have been located in or attached to the Southbridge Mall in Mason City. But a call to city hall informed us that it was actually about a block or two away in a building with the address of 11 S. Delaware Ave. Mason City, IA 50401.
According to an employee at city hall, the lounge’s liquor license was one of several held by Caver, Inc. and was not renewed as of December of 1995. We tracked down the former owner and President of Caver, Inc., Dick Cavanaugh, who we learned has since passed away.
Since then the property has housed several new establishments with various owners.
Important note: by no means are we implying that the lounge, (past or present) owners and/or staff have any connection to Jodi’s case. We are simply trying to retrace some of Jodi’s steps. This is just a call for anyone to help us get more information about the Southbridge Lounge, and hopefully some images. Some say Jodi would visit that bar. If you’ve seen her there or can corroborate this claim, we’d like to hear from you as well.
