The night before she disappeared, Jodi Huisentruit called her good friend Kelly Torguson in Mississippi.
Kelly wasn’t home so Jodi chatted with Kelly’s husband who answered their phone. After Jodi’s abduction, Mason City police flew Kelly to Iowa as part of their investigation and effort to interview everyone who knew Jodi.
Kelly’s mom, Beverly Salonen of Glenwood, Minnesota, fondly remembers Jodi and recently shared several photos and her memories of Jodi.
Jodi and our daughter, Kelly Salonen Torguson, met in college at St. Cloud State. They developed a wonderful friendship. Jodi came to our home with Kelly and became a part of our family. We loved her.

The pictures of Jodi and the older man is Kelly’s grandfather through marriage, Floyd Torguson. He loved Jodi when she would come to visit him. Floyd has since passed, but the memories of them together are forever imprinted in our hearts and souls.
