Gary and I would like to thank everyone who is contributing in a positive way on this forum. We believe dialogue is the best way to help the case and keep it from going cold.

I did want to address a few questions on the site, and offer up some of our concerns as well.

FindJodi.com works with several people and follows many leads. In doing so, we do not and will not promote or sponsor any specific theory of what happened. We simply report what we uncover and what were are able to report without jeopardizing the investigation.

Sure we have our theories of what may have happened the morning Jodi disappeared, but it is very dangerous to assume that as fact. There is simply not enough evidence to support any theory at this point. For us to lay out 'what we think happened' is absolutely irresponsible strictly based on the the lack of facts.

What is fact is that we are working very closely with the lead investigator in the case and will continue to do so. If you support the idea that law enforcement was somehow involved in this crime, then another agency would be required to take over the investigation if enough evidence was brought forward. The evidence is simply not there.

We have asked all users in this forum to refrain from naming names and divulging their theories as if they're fact, but we continually see it happen.

This forum is not a soap box for any one person or group to proclaim they know what happened to Jodi. If they did, she'd be found by now. It's as simple as that.

Speculation is very dangerous, and while very easy to draw connections to current events or possible theories of what happened, please refrain from doing so.

This forum is to share ideas, remember Jodi and work together in finding out what happened to her. I think we've banned 1 or 2 people since we launched this site almost a decade ago. So we're open to hearing people's opinions. But reserve the speculation for some other platform.

We appreciate everyone's support for this website. We're glad you stop by and talk about the case, and we encourage you to continue.

In reference to us being fed information from MCPD, we have a level of cooperation that benefits law enforcement by referring to them specific information deemed credible from the website.

I would say it's probably once a month that we speak to some level of law enforcement about the case and any tips that have come in. They are not in the habit of sharing information, and we can understand that. They have a case that needs to be solved and we do not want to betray any trust.

It has taken a long time to formulate any level of dialogue with MCPD. As with any case there are times when we stumble on a piece of information and we have to sit on it. This applies to both law enforcement and tipsters and people we have interviewed. If we look at the major sources of information through the years - most of them told us information in confidence. Some only requested that their name is kept confidential.

Gary has done an excellent job in working with agencies investigating the case. Since he lives in Southern Minnesota, he is able to meet with investigators and conduct interviews with people who knew Jodi. Gary plans to continually do that despite covering any expense in doing so.

With that said, there are few exciting things we'll be launching in a few weeks. We are ramping up our search for Jodi as well as other missing people and will expand the positive message of hope we receive and deliver from this website. We're hoping it'll help Jodi's family and the family of other missing loved ones.

Stay tuned. And thanks to everyone who continually supports FindJodi.com

Josh and Gary

I think it would be good to keep this thread at the top (sticky) of the thread page. It is a good reminder of what this site is and what your involvment with the case is. It also sets a few guidelines on proper posting.
