Man in church

Does anyone know who the man was that accompanied Jodi to church in Mason City on June 4th 1995? According to a witness I interviewed, he saw Jodi come into church with a man, 30-40 years old, tall and slim. He was wearing a white shirt but the witness couldn't remember if he had a tie on or not.

After church, the witness went to his residence at the Key Apartments and saw Jodi and the unidentified man drive through the parking lot and stop in front of Jodi's apartment and she pointed up as to identify to the man which apartment was her's.

This was obviously someone who didn't know where she lived.

Does anyone know what church Jodi went to? My experience with church communities is that everyone knows the "latest" on people, and I would assume because of Jodi's status, people were ESPECIALLY curious about who Jodi was with.
Did she belong to any groups within the church?
What church and who was the pastor at that time?

This thread deserves a bump.
It is a very interesting question.
How is it a man like this appears fron nowhere and disappears back to where he came from leaving nobody the wiser.

I haven't been able to find any references to this incident.

Who was he and where is he today?

So nobody knows anymore about this 'tall slim man'?

Columbo raised some worthwhile questions too.

I can't add anything more. The gentleman that I interviewed has since passed away but I think I received all the information he had to tell.

Doesn't anyone find it strange that Jodi who starts to have her world turning upside down, has new men entering her life, doesn't have a soul close enough that she confided in. Any woman out there who can answer that? How would you react to these situations. Was Jodi such a private person that she discussed nothing about her personal life to anyone no matter how menacing it was becoming.

We know she talked to her friend down south, has anyone ever talked to them on a deeper level about her fears and what was happening around her. We know she talked to her family about her concerns, maybe she mentioned to them who the man from church was or who was pounding at her door. They may have given that information to the police, but we'll never know because of their active investigation.

If this was happening to you would you talk to NO ONE.

I'd be talking to anyone that would listen. Anyone who requests a police escort has some seriously bad stuff going on.

The people who were in that newsroom know more that they have ever let on. That would just have be the case.
Those kind of places are rife with politics, gossip and petty jealousies. That is no different to most workplaces.

People such as Gary from this site have been given some information but they have been told in confidence. So the info goes no further and that is both understandable and fair enough.

I have always been asked to complete a "Vistor's Card" whenever I was a vistor at a church.  It is not likely at this late date but perhaps the church has a record of the identication of vistor.
