I think that it was portrayed as a fatal attraction,but that it's possible that its a diversion.Leading everyone in the wrong direction.
Too much of a conincidence that Jodi's farmer friend was "suicided" weeks earlier.
How dumb do they think we are?
I believe it was premeditated.
I don't think it was just one person.
I don't think it was a fatal attraction.
I think there was more then 1 person involved.
If my hypothesis is correct-we may never find the body.
I think it was a hit.

Hey Bounty, While the event itself is so horrible, your theory really makes it all the more scary. Do you mind sharing, if you feel comfortable, why you believe someone would put a hit out on Jodi? If not, I understand. I just wonder why anyone would target her. True, if she knew too much about a potentially earth-shattering story someone might want her hurt, but I believe I have read on past forum threads that Jodi really didn't do investigative reporting. I do agree with what you said, and I never considered it: If someone targeted her in a hit, diverting attention by creating a stalker scenario in the weeks and days leading up to her disappearance would have certainly sidetracked efforts to find Jodi. Also, why do you think we may never find her? I'm certainly not challenging your theory at all and mean no disrespect, I'm just intrigued and would like to know more.

The why is what I'm trying to figure out. I just know that background searches into a person of power come back with an interesting view. Shady family connections. However it does not mean anything concrete.
Jodi may not have been doing any investigative reporting to anyone's knowledge. However in her diary she did state that she wanted to be more of a reporter. Perhaps she was trying to get the scoop of the year in her home town. She wanted another job position in the field somewhere else. Maybe, whatever that was in her briefcase would have shed some light on it.Maybe she told the wrong person what she was doing. I am not sure why...I just know that this person in power has some interesting things in the past.
The motive-not sure other then to silence her.
The "means" is a whole other issue in my book.

Of course if you 'take someone out' you not only silence them you scare the living daylights out of anyone else thinking of sticking their nose in.
It would appear the abduction of Jodi served its purpose from the viewpoint of the perpetrator.
Nobody from the police down has ever named a suspect.
