In the 1999 archive, there is an article of a 19 year old who was found dead in her home. Before her death she was approached in a restaurant where she worked by a man who said he had something to do with Jodi's disappearance. Was that case ever solved? If not, did she give a description of this man? perhaps to a co-worker at the restaurant? or did someone else see him?

FORT GORDON
Soldier extradited to Iowa
A Fort Gordon soldier awaiting extradition to Iowa on a murder charge was turned over to Iowa authorities Thursday.
Pvt. Brad Lee Erdahl, 21, was being held at the Richmond County jail after being charged in the stabbing death of Jacqueline Sue Folkerts, 19. Ms. Folkerts was killed Jan. 25. Hancock County prosecutors say Pvt. Erdahl's DNA was found at the scene.
When the Iowa complaint was filed, Fort Gordon officials already were initiating court-martial proceedings for an alleged aggravated assault involving Pvt. Erdahl and a female airman Jan. 3, Fort Gordon spokesman James Hudgins said. Pvt. Erdahl was not charged, and the proceedings have been postponed.
Pvt. Erdahl waived his right to dispute the extradition to Iowa.

Thanks.
Any picture of Erdahl from back then? arrest picture, drivers license... This would be of great help.
Was it ever established that Erdahl was the same person Jackie encountered in the restaurant? It says the man who talked about Jodi to Jackie, came in the restaurant twice.
What was Erdahl doing in Britt, Iowa?
7:13 pm
she was a friend of his sister?

From the article below this means the man whom Jackie saw in the restaurant was NOT Erdahl.
The man who spoke to her about Jodi Huisentruit in the restaurant has to be known by someone since she took down the man's license plate number and it was handed over to police.
"It was really hard," said Olivia Mitchell, Ms. Folkerts' aunt. "There hasn't been a day that I don't think about it."
Mrs. Mitchell said her niece's only connection to Pvt. Erdahl was through his 19-year-old sister, who was the victim's close friend.
Working as a waitress in a neighboring town, Ms. Folkerts purchased her home -- where her body was found -- with inheritance left by her father after he died in a house fire in 1997, Mrs. Mitchell said.
She said Ms. Folkerts lived with the Erdahl family for a short time and that her niece disliked Pvt. Erdahl.

Did anybody in LE check his palm print for a match, he was tied to the area with a violent streak, Interesting that he has a tie to Georgia, Isn't there a Tiffin GA.?
If the waitress did provide a partial plate number to LE what happened to that. Just a thought for LE 14 years and counting, you have gotten nowhere please consider allowing Josh and Gary to review your file for anything that could help us. Believe it or not we have the same objective in mind.

seems to be a bunch of I know the person who did this or I know someone who knows someone type of thing...It's a head scratcher..

Hi Vinny, Just to comment on your question about Georgia...there is a Tifton, Georgia. It's a small town along Interstate 75 located in southwestern Georgia. As a news reporter, I used to cover stories there. Just wanted to pass along the info. Happy Fourth!

how many did not get a chance to read the removed post that was written by the "I know who did it!" guy? maybe those people he fingered were at some point in her restaurant; they all worked a bit north of her home. was the restaurant jackie worked in located in the same town she lived in? yes, one of those he named will google up a drug offender in iowa with the same name, if that is one of the dots hunter found.
1:53 pm
Thanks Greg for the reply. One of the suspects wrote a song about stiffen in Tifton, when I heard this murder suspect from the service had a connection to both IA and Georgia my ears picked up. Probably coincidence.

No not the same dot but I havn't looked into this part until now.
I got a whole bunch of other dots. I hint and hint but I cannot come out and say because I too -like so many others, have no proof.

on this entry from the old forum, it is mentioned jackie worked at some place called colony inn. that is located in ventura iowa? and so, maybe that is why a co-worker said she may know who did this abduction, if she is from there also. the i-know-who-did-it guy's suspects probably traveled through that area also.
"Folkerts' aunt and uncle, David and Olivia Mitchell, said Jackie told them a man approached her about three weeks before her death at the Colony Inn where she was working and talked about Huisentruit, KSTP reported Friday night."

Not sure if it would be the same man that approached Jackie or not but I was approached in Southern Mn at a bookstore that I was working at. This man immediately started talking about Jodi and that he knew what happened to her. He left before LE could get there. He stated his name was Dave Johnson and then said it wasn't his real name and he couldn't give me his real info (when he wanted to order a book).
I would be interested in a description of the man that approached Jackie. The man that approached me was approx 5' 9", dark sandy blonde, small to med build, ragged looking.

Micah - did you see this from the "possibilities" thread? Your description seemed like it could match...

There are a lot of people who've stated within the first five minutes I've known them that they know what happened to Jodi. None of them have any idea; a surprising number project their neuroses onto her (sexual fantasies, especially). Some are blowhards who have no clue how to impress people without telling lies. Some are obviously mentally ill. In every population there are a number of people who believe emphatically giving the wrong answer is better than having an unanswered question.
Back in the reality-based community. Jackie Folkerts was young and impressionable, and while I don't doubt someone told her things about Jodi, they were unlikely to be true, and I think her murder, horrible though it was, could not be more unrelated.
2:17 am
Just to clear a couple of things up, I was a senior in High School in the town Jackie was murdered in. Both her and Brad were from a town called Britt and she worked in Ventura. Brad had always had a thing for her and she always turned him down. There is no connection between Jodi's disappearance and Jackie's death.

Just wanted to update the website that describes the horrific crime against Ms. Folkerts. Apparently, the Iowa Courts changed their website address:
