Been following Jodi's disappearance since the airing of an Unsolved Mysteries episode not long after the abduction...I still wait, and still come to this site and keep my eyes and ears open...Ive joined in some of the theories expressed and had an astrological chart done for the time of the abduction....Im still convinced it was someone she knew, though most definitely don't rule out a stranger/stalker situation either...Though im not naïve, I find that scenario precarious when raising the possibility of more than one person being involved...Not unheard of or impossible, yet how many people are gonna involve another person or ask for help of said person, into their private obsession/abduction? Unless they were a simpatico pair from the start, looking for victims, etc..Again, tho, in my years of interest in true crimes and the darker side of the human psyche, I  wouldn't think such a pair would choose a "high profile" victim instead of one from random opportunity...That's just my own personal opinion, but I struggle with it too...You never know what people are capable of and why...

A certain person is stuck to this case like glue, unless theres some definitive proof otherwise. He doesn't even have a reliable alibi ...He moved away, dropped off the radar of this case, got into some legal trouble, I don't recall really, was it a manslaughter case? But in any case, he seems to have slipped though the net...I have thought more than once it could have been him and his son, who also seemed to like Jodi a lot and may have been manipulated into helping his father....

Why do I NOT like Amy Kuns? Now, I know she and all the other newstation employees and co-workers were pretty well thoroughly investigated...But it was her delay in notifying anyone that may have enabled the perpetrators to get away with this...Maybe I just cant forgive that knowing that she didn't really seem to like Jodi....Not even sure why I brought it up except Ive gone over her interview on here not too long ago and was left with an uncomfortable feeling...But that is nothing new when I see/read anything from/about her...Which is scarce since she also seems to have dropped off the radar, perhaps working in some small local newstation somewhere, idk...Its not as if she gained much by any of this.

So here we are, almost 20 years later....waiting for that one clue that could bring all this together and solve the case...Jodi's is the only cold case I still follow on a semi regular basis...I still care about finding the answers for her family, friends and others who have been moved to follow her disappearance, even if she herself has moved on to another existence and has 'forgiven'....Even if the person has died or is sitting in jail for something else, the truth of what happened to Jodi deserves to be found...Let 20 years be the charm, even if the reality of that number seems sad or hopeless...its never hopeless and I will continue to wait for answers til the day of my own demise, though hopefully THAT wont be necessary.

Peace

I don't dispute that Cornseed dude is creepy.  What legal trouble has he been in?  When I look him up in the Iowa Courts database I can only find one record and it's a moving violation.  No domestic violence.  No financial issues. No felonies.  It seems like a leap to me that someone with no criminal record would escalate from zero to assault/abduction/murder so quickly.

What does seem compelling to me is the fact that two stone cold convicted murders  (Honken/Johnson) with a history of abducting their victims before killing them were in the area at the time and one potentially came into contact with Jodi hours before she was taken.

Amy Kuns...I don't find her particularly likeable either. However I am not convinced her acting quicker would have resulted in a different outcome.  I find it more upsetting that the people in the apartment complex didn't call 911 immediately, either those that heard the screams or those that saw her belongings scattered in the parking lot on their way out the door that morning.

.But it was her delay in notifying anyone that may have enabled the perpetrators to get away with this...Maybe I just cant forgive that knowing that she didn't really seem to like Jodi....Not even sure why I brought it up except Ive gone over her interview on here not too long ago and was left with an uncomfortable feeling.

I don't know if anyone has brought this up or not so please forgive me if they have.  Would anyone that lives in the Mason City area or even her home town be willing to pass out or put up flyers?  I just feel like there will be more attention payed to the case with the anniversary coming up.  Someone knows something, even the smallest thing could turn out to be a break in the case.
