I'll never understand why those people who heard Jodi's screams at 4:30 in the morning why they didn't call 911. Even more troubling is why did it take the TV station more than 3 hours also to make a call to the police. WHY?

The short answer people are scared to get involved. I posted once about a case in Queens,NY in the early 1960's a woman in her early 20's was stabbed to death while over 20 people heard it and some watched and never called the police. When some where interviewed someone said she shouldn't have been out that time in the morning, blaming the poor girl.

People have their reasons, some may even regret it today in Jodi's case.

Right on to you both, Switz and Vinny!

I have always wondered why people didn't call the police if they heard the screams that morning. I haven't visited Mason City, but I'd imagine, a screaming woman at 4:30 a.m. is pretty rare. Also, I'm still astounded that people on their way to work stepped over her stuff probably to get to their cars and didn't call the police. I will also never understand why if Jodi expressed concern to co-workers about being stalked and what could happen in the early morning hours, why someone didn't call the police at the TV station....waaaaaay before 7 a.m. After all, Jodi did tell Amy Kuns she would be at the station in just a few minutes.

I've wondered that too Greg. How could people ignore all of Jodi's possessions scattered all over the parking lot and not do something. Not knowing Mason City at all back in 1995 does anyone know if this was considered an unsavory or higher crime area? Drug activity, anything like that.

Been waiting a long time for someone to start talking about that. The up-keep of the entire apartment complex looks very SOLID, that should have stuck out like a FIRE.

Bring up some more enteresting stuff guys.

I would re-question everyone in that complex, I'm talking "Let's go down town" kind of re-questioning. People react different under an interrigatory environement. That place is too big and too orderly for just one person to notice somehting as SHREAKING as a SCREAM. A scream break's with the normalcy of peace and quite, that would catch the attention of a COMA PATIENT.

The Police only questioned the person who heard the scream once or twice.
Then they told someone that ear witnesses are unreliable and their testimony probably wouldnt stand up in court.

Come onnnnnnnnn... Lets find Jodi and the person responsible and go from there. After 15+ years every lead should be followed and should have been checked and double checked.

I think too much evidence has been ignored in this case from the beginning. Sorry

Look guys, I remember this case because it was a national story immediately and it should have been. I've discussed the incompetence issue with MCP but state and FBI were brought in quickly and should have negated some of their slip ups.

The only reason I mention slip ups are some of the obviously false statements they made about not knowing she was being followed or having a problem with stalkers when THEY escorted her to work on that very point.

Her lucky to have a job boss not knowing a key employee was being escorted to work by the police or if she was habitually late. BUT did remind her to be on time after the golf outing the next morning for work, HUMMMMMM?. Interesting comment considering events.

Lets face it her friends, relatives, her inner circle and potential rivals on out from there should all be considered A person of interest until we know what happened to her.

Unfortunately after 15+ years this case is as cold as an Iowa winter. We need a human with a conscience to step forward and tell us what happened or a solid clue to lead us in the right direction leading to a closed case.

Cold as Iowa Winter is right Vinny....and I totally Agree with All of You, that has posted here :) To Me, The Key " A Human with a Conscience " seems like the only hope as of now ?! Of coarse, I have My Own Thoughts and Visions, BUT, No Evidence yet?

I have an interesting question for all of you: Say her body was discovered, do you think someone would be arrested, or lead to the case being solved?

If she was found, unless some obvious clues where left, maybe. I personally think she would never be found and they made sure of it. Just my two cents. We need a human racked with a guilty conscience even if they didn't do it but knows something about it as our only hope at this point.

I had this crazy dream a while back that I was shown where Jodi was. Then I was told that not too far from her grave by an old building or shack her brief case was buried.

So, maybe if they were to locate her that not far from where she is would be clues from her personal belongings.

By the way, in my dream she was found when they were clearing dirt across a creek while building a country road.

One of the things that as thrown off a lot of people who email me with their premonitions is that there are a lot of roads out in the country that are blocked off because when they build the new highway 18 south of town. Infact several people mentioned that area for a possible site. Not sure if arael maps show the new road.

Josh, I read your article on the 911 request to the police, did they ever respond?. They can't really not give out the 911 tapes as we hear 911 calls on the news networks all the time. Any progress or indication they are willing to work with you after 15+ years.

Vinny:

We have made some very positive, recent strides with MCPD. We received the initial call report showing which officers arrived to the scene after Jodi disappeared. We have shared a few recent leads and they are being followed up. Also, we have learned some items from Jodi's apartment have recently been sent to a lab for DNA testing. I'm working on a report for FindJodi.com regarding that - coming soon. Thanks.

You all have stated it well: let's get this case solved. As a new forum member, I am excited and proud to be a volunteer in the search for Jodi. As a newbie, I am going to spend a few days in between work and school assignments to catch up on as much info as I can on the case. I can say I have several questions, and will be posting a theory in a few days as well. Lets keep searching and brainstorming on possible leads that you know the police are not following, and see what we can come up with. I think one of the first things we need to do is start from the point when she was in the parking lot and work our way backwards. I am betting she knew the perpetrator well, and we need to find out who.
